The LNG car carrier with a capacity of 7,500 vehicles, equipped with the PM200-12 (6-GFM-200) marine battery produced by Palma, successfully completed its sea trial. This vessel, built by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd., is the first of a planned series of ten ships, which will significantly bolster China's automotive exports to overseas markets.

Being selected for use in this ship by Xiamen Shipbuilding marks a milestone for Palma, as it transitions from supplying batteries for small vessels to medium and large-sized ships. Over the years, Palma has placed great emphasis on the marine market, continuously advancing the development and application of its marine batteries. Starting with starter batteries for small vessels, the company has now expanded into energy storage and backup batteries for larger ships. Palma has earned certifications from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and the China Classification Society (CCS), garnering praise from numerous shipyards and shipowners.

Palma remains committed to developing and refining more models of its marine batteries to meet customer demands, contributing to the robust growth of China’s shipbuilding industry.
